FALL GAME DAY PREPARATION

 

For our FALL 2023 season, practices will be one weekday evening a week (barring weather-related issues and holidays) from 5:45 pm to 7:45 pm (then from 5:45 pm until dark). We expect every AFC player and coach to show up ON TIME and be ready to go for practices. Games will generally be on Friday evenings and Saturdays between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. We expect players to show 45 MINUTES BEFORE kick-off to stretch, practice, game plan, and pray beforehand. 

 

  • Mouthguards are mandatory.

  • Many of our players also have receiver gloves, but those are optional

  • Cleats MUST be worn

  • NO jewelry can be worn--this includes bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings, watches, etc.

  • Hats with brims are also NOT allowed

  • Pants or shorts should be pocketless--if not, the pockets must be duct-taped shut

  • At the REC level, every player, regardless of prior experience or skill level, can expect at least 50% playing time. (Only a bad attitude will reduce playing time)

  • This is a fun league but also competitive

  • Foul language, taking the Lord's name in vain, trash talk, unsportsmanlike conduct, etc. will NOT be tolerated and will lead to suspensions.
